How to install CruxEX to hard disk using Crux Installer
1. Create one installation partition of 3 GB and one SWAP partition of 1 GB in advance.
Crux Installer offers to do that for you, but it is more safe to do it in advance.
2. Start up Crux Installer. You will se this.
3. Click OK and you will see this.
4. Click OK and you will see this:
5. Just click "Continue" since you have already partitioned your hard disk.
You will see this.
6. Click OK and this will show.Note that I have used VirtualBox to
be able to take these screenshots. Your installation partition will
probably be /dev/sda3 or...
7.
Click OK and this will show.
8. Choose ext3 and click OK. This will show next.
9. Click OK and the installation will start: You will see this meanwhile.
10. When the installation is ready you will see this.
11. Click cancel if you already have at least one Linux system on
your computer. You can then add start data for CruxEX in /boot/
grub/menu.lst - see below. Otherwise click 1 och 2 to use boot
loader LILO to be able to start CruxEX.
12. Before you restart your computer you must change /etc/fstab
on your installation partition to look like this.
You shall of course change /dev/sda5 and /dev/sda1.
13. If you already use GRUB as boot loader in another Linux installation you shall add this to
/boot/grub/menu.lst to be able to start CruxEX.
